Dr. Larson is Mitsui Professor of Engineering Systems and Civil and Environmental Engineering at MIT and founding Director of the MIT Center for Engineering Systems Fundamentals. Formerly Director of MIT's Operations Research Center and Center for Advanced Educational Services, he is an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering and President of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS). A prize-winning author, Dr. Larson is widely published, a frequent international plenary speaker, and often appears in the media as an expert on queueing, homeland security and technology-enabled education. Mr. Cahn is co-founder of SDC, Queues Enforth Development, Inc. (Q.E.D.) and Enforth Corporation. In addition to his corporate management responsibilities, he is actively involved in the firm's highest profile engagements. He directed a prize-winning study of the New York City Arrest System and a number of large-scale, multi-year projects for the US Postal Service. His current project activities include modeling multi-tier emergency response for the US Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Cahn's background spans information technology, criminal justice, operations research and management. |

Dr. James M. Tien In addition to being Yamada Professor and Chairman of RPI's Department of Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems, Dr. Tien has served as Acting Dean of Engineering at RPI on two occasions. He has published extensively in the information and decision systems area, and he is the recipient of many technical honors including the IEEE Joseph G. Wohl Outstanding Career, Major Educational Innovations and Norbert Wiener Awards. Dr. Tien is an IEEE Fellow, served on the IEEE Board of Directors and is an elected member of the National Academy of Engineering. View Dr. Tien's RPI web page. |

Ms. Neray heads the SDC Analysis Group. Her current work involves a multi-year evaluation of the impact of U.S. Department of Justice funding programs on state criminal history records. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from McGill University and a S.M. in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to joining SDC in 1996, Ms. Neray was employed by Raytheon, Digital Equipment Corporation, the MIT Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems and Maraven SA (formerly, Shell Oil of Venezuela). |

Mr. Einstein, who heads SDC's Operations Research Group, is both a skilled software engineer and expert in the computer - based modeling of complex operations. In addition, he was a key member of the team that developed SwiftLine?, SDC's unique, proprietary staff scheduling and queue management software. Mr. Einstein holds a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and prior to joining SDC in 1995, Mr. Einstein worked for Cadec Systems and Mission Research. |
